I know it wouldn't cost you anything. Silver eye is considered a manufacturing defect and they fix it for free on any doll. I don't know about the other stuff
I just sent a Molly in for silver eye.
Write a note and attach it with a rubberband around her torso.
State that you only want the eye fixed, and NOT TO REPLACE THE HEAD.
My original Molly came back, with new eyes.....of course they are Mattel eyes, with stiff eyelashes, and her hair all nicely combed and rebraided, wearing the hospital gown, and with the balloon.
Do I just send money in for shipping then?
I think, but I'm not sure, they paid return shipping.
I sent two dolls, and one I was paying to have new limbs attached, so I put my credit card number on the hospital admission slip.
When my card was charged, the shipping was the amount for only one doll, although they came back together.
If you have a credit card, just put the info on the admission slip, and see if they charge you.
How bad is the silver eye? If it's not too bad, I personally would not have it fixed. My favorite feature of the WB dolls is those crazy-amazing curly brown lashes -- it would be a shame to lose them. But that's just me.
Its not too bad yet... but its just one eye.... which makes her look really funny!
Also her eyes looked "crossed" at times so I have to push them from side to side to get them to appear centered!
Im going to wait on it for awhile anyways because I dont have extra money right now, but would like to know what I can do in the future to get them replaced!
Too bad I didnt know of someone that replaced eyes and could find another cheap pm molly, take her eyes out, and exchange them! [img]smile.gif[/img]
I wonder if anyone on here has ever tried a lash transplant. If you do decide to send her in for eye replacements, maybe you could try to remove the lashes first and then send her in lashless. Then even if you kept the lashes on the new Mattel eyes (I think they would be hard to remove), you could perhaps somehow attach the old lashes to the new ones for extra length and curl.
I sent Kirsten and Ayame in to the AGHospital for laser eye surgery about a month ago. I attatched a note politely requesting that they only replace the eyes, not the head, and that the head be reattatched with a string instead of a zip tie. both of my darlings came back with beautiful new eyes (with stiff lashes), but their original heads which were still stringed on. ^_^ I was one happy mom. And all it cost me was shipping and handly for the two of them.

Aw, she is so cute! Personally, I would leave her "as is" -- and then send her in only if the silver eye spreads. It's barely noticeable (at least from the picture).
